  • Transport
You can fly into either Toulouse or Carcassonne. Toulouse is slightly closer, but either work fine. For our Northern loves, you can fly from Manchester to Carcassonne. The house is very rural, and the area is not hugely touristy. There is no public transport, so a car to get around is a necessity. Cars are easy enough to hire from the airports, but most companies require you to have a credit card, so please ensure you are prepared with that. Message us with any questions, worries or queries!
  • Accommodation
If we haven't already discussed accommodation with you, once you have RSVP'd, get in touch to discuss recommendations! Our advice is to book ASAP as the area is so rural and not massively touristy, so there aren't many hotels or accommodation options, and the good ones will get booked up quickly. We have a list of places that are within the distance of our transfers to and from the wedding. Due to the taxi transfers we are organising, please let us know where you have booked! If you independently find accommodation, please speak with us about the taxi to and from the wedding prior to booking as there are restrictions on distance. If you are planning your own transport to and from the wedding - go crazy, stay wherever you like - Toulouse and Carcassonne are both gorgeous cities about an hour away, and Revel is a nice little town about 20 minutes away! Bear in mind that Ubers aren't a thing here and taxis are rare, and pricey.
  • Transfers
On the day of the wedding (25-07-25), we will organise for you to be picked up from your accomodation, and afterwards Andy Le Cabbie will be running a shuttle service home from midnight to 2.30am. If you think you will need to leave the wedding earlier than this, please speak to us. The following day for the BBQ Pool Party, we will also organise for you to get to and from the party!
  • Photos & Videos
A common question is whether you can take photos and videos, and post them. We do have a photographer, but please feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you like - and please please share them with us! You're welcome to post them on socials as and when you please - tag us honies!
  • Food & Beverage
There will be free flowing wine and beer throughout the two days, with some cocktails occasionally sprinkled in for good measure. If you would like to drink anything else, such as spirits, feel free to pick them up at duty free on your way over! On the day of the wedding, there will canapes, followed by a 3-course meal in the late afternoon. There will also be a late night snack provided. On our pool party day, there will be a selection of charcuterie for lunch, followed by hot dogs and a BBQ for dinner. If you have any dietry requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.
  • Plus Ones
As much as we would love for you to bring a plus one, we only have the capacity for those who are written on the invitation. It is a small and intimate wedding with our closest family and friends and we can't wait to celebrate with you. <3
  • Local Area
The area is rural, and things aren't open all day long - usually restaurants open for lunch between 12 - 2pm, and then later on for dinner. Supermarkets also close during the day, so check their opening times before making a trip - it's a slow paced life. Here are some restaurant recommendations: Le Natio (drinks and maybe live music), Pizza Mongelli (good pizza!) (Revel) Cap de Castel (Puylaurens) - booking essential, some of you may be staying here. Cuq en Terrasses (Cuq Toulza) - booking essential Le 20 - by the lake
  • Recommendations
If you are planning to explore the area before or after the wedding, here are some recommendations of things to do! Nearby to us is a small town called Revel - every Saturday morning they have a wonderful food market. If you wanted to visit this before the Day 2 celebrations, it's recommended! Revel is also lovely for dinners and drinks, although very quiet and opening times often vary - quintessentially french. There is also a lovely lake nearby, called Lac Saint Ferreol which is perfect for swimming or walking around, with some restaurants surrounding it. The two closest cities to us are Toulouse and Carcassonne. Both are lovely cities to visit - the Medieval City of Carssonne is a must visit for a day. Some other towns to note within your research of where to visit are: Albi, Narbonne (near to the coast), Gruissan Plage (coastal), Plage de Collioure (coastal), Montpellier, and Nimes. Vineyards Minervois, Cabardes, Corbieres are all areas 1 - 2 hours away. A vineyard on the way to Carcassonne is Domaine Gayda - we've been a few times and it's lovely but you need to check opening times! Spain Barcelona is about a 3 - 4 hour drive, and I couldn't recommend enough a small town called Tossa de Mar if you're heading that way - if you go here get in touch about hotel recommendations.
